JOB RESPONSIBILITYEnsure all necessary tax returns have been prepared accurately and filed timely with the applicable agencyResearch and analyze tax related inquiries, problems or issues such as complex tax or foreign tax issuesCorrespond with various tax authoritiesWork directly with current tax vendor regarding tax coding, oversight of system downloads and the overall production of tax returns/documentsEnsure timely and accurate filing of various types of estimated tax payments for customersAssist with tax interpretation of capital structure asset reorganizations, cost basis adjustments, disbursements / contributions etc. as neededResponsible for allocation of periodic tax preparation feeManage processes related to probate court accountings and estate or date of death evaluationsParticipate in ongoing training and development to maintain in-depth knowledge of trust-related tax processingDelegate tax assignments to support staff as appropriateMaintain awareness of and adherence to Bank's compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasksDeliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standardsOther duties as assignedCOMPETENCIESInterpersonal/Customer Service SkillsWritten and Verbal CommunicationAbility to understand and follow directionsAdaptable to changeBasic Computer SkillsAnalytical ThinkingAble to Multi-Task or Juggle PrioritiesProblem/Situation AnalysisStrategic Planning and Decision MakingAbility to build collaborative relationshipsADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis position has potential for development into a supervisory role.SCHEDULETypical office hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. This position is exempt and full-time. A minimum 40 hours is required per week.A flexible work arrangement is available for this position. The position will require some scheduled onsite hours. Please speak to the hiring manager for more information.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position must be able to remain in a stationary position a minimum of 85% of the time, constantly operate a computer, and be able to be in constant communication with coworkers or stakeholders to discuss and observe facts and data in order to exchange accurate information.EDUCATION - CERTIFICATIONS - WORK EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree in business, finance, account, or equivalent combination and work experience requiredCompletion of Trust school or industry equivalent educational coursework preferredKnowledge of trust and/or banking and 4-6 years tax experience is required (fiduciary tax experience is a plus). Familiarity with Thomson Reuters Onesource tax software is beneficial.
