Prescription Safety Glasses \n \n\n POSITION OVERVIEW: \n\n The
Set-up Mechanic sets up and maintains blanker presses in operation
and all associated equipment. \n\n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\n \n\t Changes, removes, dismantles, repairs, assembles,
installs and adjusts a variety of equipment including dies,
punches, rolls, curlers, liner, conveyor, sets oven temperature and
monitors, post coater spraying unit, magazine, pumps, etc. \n\t
Troubleshoots and corrects problem areas. \n\t Performs preventive
maintenance and lubricates as required. \n\t Keeps machines loaded
with stock and the presses running. \n\t Weighs compound on lid and
has verified. \n\t Check cans, lids and tab assembly for
specification such as diameter, height, thickness, etc., using
instruments such as dial indicators, ring gauges, micrometers, pin
gauges, prior to making production runs. Periodically rechecks
during production runs. \n\t Performs dimensional checks. \n\t
Works from prints, specification sheets, written and verbal
instructions. \n\t Helps assist Packer Operator in pulling off
defective product from line with hand jack or lift truck. \n\t
Relieves Packer Operator. \n\t Completes required paperwork such as
production logs, QA checks, scrap weight logs, etc. \n\t Performs
all activity with safety of self and others as the number one
concern. \n\t Performs general housekeeping and cleanup of the
assigned work areas. \n\t Adheres to all safety, quality, and plant
policies. \n\t Other duties as assigned by management. \n \n
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: \n\n \n\t 3 – 5 years of prior work
experience in a manufacturing environment, troubleshooting,
repairing diagnosing various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic,
and/or electrical equipment or machines. \n\t Mechanical ability
required. \n\t Basic computer skills. \n \n\n PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS: \n\n \n\t While performing the duties of this job,
the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to
finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with
hands and arms. \n\t The team member is frequently required to
climb or balance and talk or hear. \n\t The team member is
occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. \n\t The
team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. \n\t
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus. \n \n\n WORKING
CONDITIONS: \n\n \n\t Generally, works in a plant environment but
will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office
setting. \n\t While performing the duties of this job, the team
member may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular
traffic. \n\t The team member may be exposed to a wide range of
temperatures. \n\t The noise level is frequently loud. \n\t The
Massillon plant and grounds are tobacco-free. This means that the
use of tobacco of any kind will not be permitted anywhere in the
building or on Crown property. This also includes prohibiting the
use of any electronic cigarette devices. \n
