Job Description:
UniFirst First Aid Safety is seeking a dedicated Fire
Extinguisher Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in
ensuring that all fire safety equipment meets the regulatory
standards and is in optimal working condition. As a part of
UniFirst Corporation, a leader in uniform and protective workwear,
you will contribute to our commitment to safety and excellence.
This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance safety
protocols across various client sites, ensuring that all fire
extinguishers are maintained, inspected, and ready to use in case
of an emergency. Inspect, service, and maintain fire extinguishers
and other fire suppression equipment in accordance with local,
state, and federal regulations. Conduct routine inspections at
customer sites to ensure all fire extinguishing equipment complies
with current safety standards. Install new fire safety equipment as
required and demonstrate proper usage to customers. Maintain
accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
performed. Provide onsite training and support to customers on the
proper use and maintenance of fire safety equipment. Prepare
service reports and make recommendations for equipment replacements
as needed. Strong technical knowledge of fire extinguishers and
fire suppression systems. Ability to read and interpret safety
manuals and procedural documents. Proficiency in using tools and
equipment needed for maintenance and repair of fire safety
equipment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage
multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Certified Fire Extinguisher Technician by a recognized certifying
body such as NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) or
equivalent. Valid driver’s license.
