As a newcomer in the Maintenance position at Corso's Garden Center, get ready for an exciting an varied workday! Each day, you'll jump right into action, performing routine inspections and repairs throughout our vibrant greenhouses. A typical day runs from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, with possible weekend work thrown in to keep our garden center flourishing. You'll also have the chance to collaborate with a great team. Embrace the rhythm of maintenance and help us create a safe, inviting environment for our customers! Major Duties & Responsibilities: Assemble, install, or repair electrical components, greenhouse systems, vents, fans, gas heaters, and irrigation systems Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs Provide grounds keeping services (lawn mowing/snow removal), general cleaning of buildings and property. Assist with diagnosing mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs Troubling shooting problems Operate cutting torches and welding equipment Estimate repair costs Knowledge of concrete work Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Familiarity with basic maintenance tools, safety equipment, and repair techniques is a must. Being a savvy problem-solver will help you tackle challenges head-on, while a keen eye for detail ensures that nothing gets overlooked. A little tech-savvy goes a long way too, as you'll occasionally work with software for maintenance tracking and reporting. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Performs a range of work in repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings and equipment. 5 years of maintenance experience Mechanical ability Willing to work extended hours as needed and work in inclement weather Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently Must have valid driver's license Must have reliable transportation and good attendance Will you join our team?
