Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck. Load and unload cargo, ensuring all goods are secured. Log hours of service and vehicle maintenance data in compliance with federal regulations and company policies. Report incidents or accidents to a dispatcher. Follow routes and time schedules as planned by logistics managers. Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with clients and colleagues. Adhere to local and state truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods). Manage routes and routines to avoid traffic. Valid CDL-A license. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.). Strong time management and customer service skills. Good physical condition and stamina.
