Job Description Job Description Job Title: Chemical Operator 20-27/hr Job Description As a Chemical Operator, you will play a vital role in overseeing chemical reactions and monitoring equipment to ensure product quality. Assigned typically to the 3rd shift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am), you will collaborate with supervisors and team members to maintain operational parameters, draw samples for laboratory analysis, and keep detailed production logs. Responsibilities Observe chemical reactions and monitor equipment to ensure optimal operation. Adjust operations based on instructions from supervisors or control laboratories. Maintain prescribed operational parameters and ensure product quality. Draw product samples for laboratory analysis. Maintain detailed production logs. Essential Skills Understanding of chemical processes and manufacturing. Proficiency in operating reactors, mixers, pumps, valves, and other plant machinery. Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical maintenance. Knowledge of chemical reactions, batching, and formulation techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications Attention to detail and strong communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Adaptability and physical stamina. Effective time management and organizational skills. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years or older. Previous chemical processing or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Union membership required after 30 days of employment. Why Work Here?
