The Director of Corporate Quality provides leadership for all quality-related activities corporately. The Director of Corporate Quality responsibility is to assure optimal overall quality of products and processes for State Industrial. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Science and Innovation, this position provides coordinated quality support for all departments to assure continuous improvement.Your Focus:

  • Manage the quality team at all plants and is responsible for global quality that consists of Quality Chemists and Quality Technicians
  • Manage day to day quality activities within the quality department (production/bench, QA, QC, incoming inspection, customer complaints, root cause analysis, corrective actions, etc)
  • Manage the internal and external audit schedule for the organization and maintain all certifications
  • Manage ISO 9001 activities and assure compliance to the standard companywide
  • Lead the company continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage QMS-specification-document control of corporate SOP's
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
  • Manage the customer complaint process with data collection and monthly review corporately on all complaints
  • Manage all calibration efforts for the organization
  • Assist other departments within the organization with technical support
  • Manage departmental affairs as required or assigned by manager
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives (Monthly KPIs, weekly summaries, critical quality failures, etc.)
  • Manage and correct supplier quality issues
  • Oversee the containment and disposition of non-conforming materials
  • Support engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer
  • Collect data and perform statistical analysis to validate root cause, process validation, process improvement, and inspection processesExperience to bring:
    • In-depth experience in the application of the ISO 9000 series Quality Management System and auditing
    • FDA cGMP
    • 7+ Years Experience in Quality
    • 5+ Years Experience managing employees
    • Quality certifications in formal auditing (ISO 9001, Lean, Green Belt, Six Sigma, 5s, etc)
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Strong critical thinking to deliver results
    • Bring root cause analysis methods and processes
    • Excellent organization and leadership skills
    • Strong computer skills such including SAP, Excel and Word
    • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
    • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
    • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
    • Proficient use of basic laboratory equipment
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Decision making and problem solving skills
    • Strong task management skills
    • Ability to find creative solutions to challenging problems
    • Microbiological Control
