Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines. Job Qualifications Education: Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Licensure/Certification: Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio. CPR required . Experience: Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred. Job-related Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues; demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities; Make independent decisions. Essential Job Functions Job Expectations and Responsibilities: 4. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process. Provides quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway. Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process. Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process/pathway. Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient. Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner. Implements physician orders as written.
