ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Zanesville, Ohio. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiac Step-Down Unit Location Position available starting February 16, 2026. Schedule This position requires working 36 hours per week on day shift from 7:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. The nurse will typically work every 3rd weekend and cover 1 holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing needs. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide effective nursing care to patients in the cardiac step-down unit, specifically focusing on post-operative open heart patients, heart cath recovery, and those on cardiac drips. The RN will float to other units during low volumes or coverage crises as needed. Responsibilities Administer care to cardiac step-down patients including open-heart and post-operative patients. Manage ventilators and cardiac drips as per prescribed protocols. Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient record management. Prepare to respond to changes in patient conditions and clinic staffing demands. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of three (3) years of experience in cardiac step-down nursing. Experience with open-heart recovery, ventilators, and cardiac medications.
