Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Stepdown Job Details: • Work 36 hours per week on day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM • Typically work every 3rd weekend and cover 1 holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing • No on-call required, but may be asked to take rare call days during fluctuating census/staffing periods • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Minimum of three (3) years cardiac step-down experience required • Must have experience with open-heart patients, ventilators, and Epic EMR • Care for heart catheterization recovery patients, cardiac drips, post-operative open heart patients, and other cardiac/med-surg step-down patients • May be required to float to other units during low volumes or coverage crisis situations • Available start date is February 16, 2026 with no other dates viable • Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract Facility: This healthcare system operates a comprehensive medical center providing specialized cardiac care services including a progressive care unit for step-down patients.
