13-week contract position. Schedule Tuesday - Friday 8am-6:30pm Job
Description The vascular technologist is a diagnostic ultrasound
professional qualified to provide diagnostic vascular ultrasound
and related procedures under established FMC policies and
guidelines. The position requires compliance with all regulatory
standards and guidance from the supervisor or technical director.
Responsibilities Perform diagnostic vascular examinations upon the
order of a physician. Operate laboratory equipment safely and
appropriately. Manage medical record and imaging systems. Transport
and position patients safely. Assist physicians with special
procedures involving the vascular lab. Maintain positive
interpersonal and intradepartmental relations. Ensure compliance
with IAC standards and maintain educational requirements for
vascular certification. Assist in the precepting of students and
new employees. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients in the
vascular lab. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Experience /
Certifications / Licensure Graduate from an accredited institution.
Registered or eligible for registration through ARDMS with an RVT
certification (preferred) or through CCI with an RVS certification,
within 90 days of hire. A minimum of 15 hours of CME every three
years in compliance with IAC standards. At least two years of
experience under a qualified vascular physician or in a vascular
laboratory is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent
