Hunter Recruiting is seeking a local contract nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a local contract nursing job in Akron, Ohio. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/21/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract Med Surg Tele RN | Akron, OH | Nights This unit provides 24/7 nursing care to adolescent patients age 17 and older through geriatric patients who require hospitalization or nursing intervention. The unit primarily serves patients with general medical and surgical needs, including General Surgery, colorectal and abdominal surgeries, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, urology, women’s health, gynecology, uro-gynecology, gynecologic oncology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, and spinal or neuro overflow cases. In addition, the unit cares for women experiencing obstetrical complications such as intrauterine fetal demise, preeclampsia, hyperemesis, substance withdrawal during pregnancy, and diabetic pregnancies.
