Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Step-Down – Ohio Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Zanesville, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36 hours per week, day shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), typically every 3rd weekend, 1 holiday per contract Highlights: Cardiac step-down unit specializing in heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open heart patients Day shift schedule with minimal on-call requirements Epic EMR system in use 13-week contract assignment Diverse patient population including cardiac and medical-surgical step-down cases Occasional float opportunities to support other units as needed Requirements: Active RN license in good standing BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 3 years of cardiac step-down experience Direct experience with open-heart patients, ventilators, heart cath recovery, and cardiac drips Proficiency with Epic EMR system Ability to float to other units when necessary Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a complex and rewarding cardiac patient population in a dynamic step-down environment.
