cardiac stepdown unit dedicated to patients facing advanced heart
failure, pulmonary hypertension, and complex cardiac conditions.
This contract opportunity offers an engaging environment where
expertise in managing electrolyte imbalances, dysrhythmias, and
tachy-brady syndromes is essential. You will provide care to
patients with implantable devices like pacemakers, defibrillators,
and Ventricular Assistive Devices (VAD), as well as those awaiting
heart transplants. The role also involves managing pre- and
post-procedural care for cardiac catheterizations, ablations, and
chemical cardioversion, including administration of
anti-dysrhythmic medications such as Tikosyn. Additionally, you
will gain broader medical-surgical experience as the unit supports
hospitalist services. Responsibilities: Provide expert stepdown
nursing care to complex cardiac patients Monitor and manage
patients with advanced cardiac devices and conditions Administer
specialized cardiac medications and therapies Collaborate closely
with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Support
hospitalist services with general medical-surgical nursing
Qualifications: Active RN license with experience in stepdown or
cardiac nursing Proficiency in managing cardiac dysrhythmias and
advanced heart failure conditions Familiarity with implantable
cardiac devices and post-procedural patient care Strong clinical
assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively
