Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,269 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night and Day rotations Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of high acuity PCU experience preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Experience with high acuity PCU patients Pediatric experience not required, but preferred Description: Position is for a high acuity progressive care unit. Experience in oncology is preferred, but not required. Unit provides care for solid tumor, orthopedic, and thoracic oncology patients. Pediatric patients are cared for on this unit, although they are extremely rare. Focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls is critical. Required skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias, central line management, and blood product administration. Comfort with PCA pumps and various telemetry monitoring equipment is necessary. Flexibility in scheduling is provided with self-scheduling requests. Staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5 in Med/Surg telemetry and 1:3 in PCU. Candidates must have experience with accessing ports, managing feeding tubes, and monitoring chemotherapy. Strong emphasis on teamwork and interdisciplinary support within the unit.
