find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Job
Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: March 23, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation:
Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 36-hour
orientation period; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts;
32-bed unit with full interdisciplinary support Highlights:
Progressive care environment serving diverse patient populations
including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Comprehensive skill utilization including telemetry monitoring,
cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, tracheostomy management, and
advanced airway support EPIC charting system with access to full
interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, rapid
response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy 32-bed daily census
with structured 4:1 patient ratios providing balanced workload and
quality patient care Opportunity to work with complex patient cases
including renal failure, wound vac management, blood product
administration, and IV insulin/heparin protocols Supportive
clinical environment with rapid response team utilization and
comprehensive specialty services Requirements: Minimum 2 years of
nursing experience required Active RN license (Compact or Ohio
state license required at time of submission) Current
certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Experience with
telemetry and dysrhythmia management required PCU/Stepdown care
experience strongly preferred ER observation/holding or
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required Previous experience
with 1:4 patient ratios preferred EPIC charting experience
preferred Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
2 professional references required (at least one from a manager,
director, or formal supervisor) Flu vaccination required (medical
exemptions only) Compliance with Ohio fingerprinting requirements
