those we serve. About the RoleWe are looking for a compassionate
and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to
join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with
Occupational Therapists to deliver patient-centered care,
empowering individuals to regain their independence and improve
their overall quality of life. Locations Westerville and Columbus
Split Key Responsibilities Perform therapy visits and work directly
with the supervising Occupational Therapist to monitor patient
progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide hands-on,
patient-centered occupational therapy services in alignment with
the therapist’s plan of care. Travel to various facilities or
residential locations to provide therapy services, ensuring
patients receive consistent and high-quality care. Conduct
follow-up visits and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of
patient progress using a universal electronic documentation system.
Assist in the evaluation and implementation of therapy programs
targeting: Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Functional mobility
Range of motion & strength Coordination & cognitive/perceptual
remediation Functional maintenance programs Maintain a weekly
caseload of 28-32 visits (for full-time), ensuring efficient and
effective care delivery. Foster positive, supportive relationships
with patients, families, coworkers, and community personnel,
ensuring a collaborative and empathetic approach to care.
Requirements Active and valid COTA license. Current certification
in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS). Valid driver’s license and
auto insurance are required for travel to patient locations.
Experience or familiarity with various settings, including
outpatient care, geriatrics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient
care, or home health is preferred. Excellent communication skills
to interact effectively with patients, families, and
multidisciplinary teams. Ability to demonstrate compassion and
patience while working with diverse populations. Familiarity with
occupational health practices is a plus. A strong dedication to
providing high-quality patient care and improving patient outcomes.
