Description Summary: Dublin Methodist Hospital is hiring an Imaging
Supervisor to support their Radiology/Imaging departments
(Diagnostics, CT, MRI, Nuclear Med, Ultrasound). This will be
8-hour shifts on day shift, but the candidate must be flexible with
their schedule including possible weekends. The Supervisor may also
be needed to assist with staffing, depending upon their
training/experience. The Supervisor under the direction of the
Imaging Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of
all medical imaging modalities associated with assigned center. The
Supervisor will facilitate a high quality of services and provides
support to patients, physicians, families and other departments.
This is accomplished by maintaining appropriate staffing levels,
ensuring equipment is in good operating condition, and necessary
supplies are available to perform the procedure or exam. The
supervisor also provides daily oversight for staff, department flow
and patient care activities. He/She provides timely feedback and
participates in staff performance reviews. This position is also
responsible for implementing policies and procedures and monitoring
adherence to all state, federal and accrediting agencies regulatory
requirements. Responsibilities And Duties: 40% Coordinates daily
activities in Ambulatory Health Center. Coordinates work load with
other clinical sections in Health Center as necessary. Arranges
follow-up examinations; coordinates scheduling with centralized
schedulers; organizes and directs section personnel to minimize
patient waiting time and maximize efficiency of equipment. Provides
assistance to Radiologist for efficient utilization of physician
time and x-ray equipment. Monitors equipment and reports and
follows-up on any problems to imaging engineering. Tracks reports,
contacts referring physicians with abnormal findings. Runs daily
reports to assure proper procedure count. Monitors courier pick-up
and delivery. Assesses and assures quality care delivered
throughout the department. 20% Prepares and forwards statistical
information to regional imaging managers. Responds to results of
customer service survey and shares with staff. Supervises all
Imaging Technologists in Health/Imaging Centers: Interviews,
coordinates hiring, orientation, training, and scheduling. Assigns
imaging technologist for patient care functions; instructs imaging
technologist in proper procedure protocol; performs imaging
technologist evaluations; assures timely completion of payroll;
oversees ordering of supplies to maintain a par level of all
accountable areas. Acts as spokesperson for patient or physician
issues involving technical delivery of service. Resolves patient,
referring physician and customer concerns. Coordinates daily
staffing with other health centers. Coordinates monthly staff
meetings. Monitors radiology and mammography QC. Ensures adequate
time for QC technologist to perform all duties and testing. Assures
quality control in all areas. 20% Plans, manages and supervises
radiology staff. Performs and completes quality medical imaging
procedures as prescribed by physician according to established
protocols as needed. Communicates and consults with Radiologist on
protocols. Performs IV injections of contrast media. Provides
patient education according to procedure type and ensures patient
competency. Obtains and reviews pertinent patient history and
supporting clinical information needed for procedure completion and
interpretation. Ensures patient care, safety and confidentiality at
all times. Maintains clean, safe and orderly work environment.
Maintains and stocks adequate supplies and ensures all equipment is
operating efficiently and effectively. Documents film movement and
prepares films for interpretation by radiologist. Files reports,
jackets and maintains proper patient records. Assure PACS QA and
proper management of PACS system for center/centers. Manages films
to outside facilities. Recognizes emergency situations and
initiates appropriate response. 20% Participates in radiology
and/or ambulatory group Meetings and other Health/Imaging Center
committees. Works on special projects; promotes radiation
protection principles to public and staff; follows established
inventory control methods to assure operation within budget;
assists with budgetary planning; makes recommendations to manager
regarding staffing, procedures, and needs of section. Assists
Radiation Safety Officer in monitoring employee exposure and safety
standards. Conducts periodic inspections to ensure local, state,
federal, and JCAHO compliance. Actively participates in
marketing/sales functions as indicated. Responsibilities are
performed in an acute, inpatient environment . As a High

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists, DL - Driver's License - Department of
Motor Vehicles Additional Job Description: Graduate of an approved
accredited Radiology technology program or Ultrasound program.
Registered with the ARRT R or ARDMS. Licensed to practice in the
State of Ohio. Thorough knowledge of various medical imaging
procedures & equipment and of the handling and administering of
ionizing radiation to include contrast media agents. Knowledge of
computer systems within imaging. Experience 4 yrs. Experience as
Radiologic Technologist or Ultrasonographers with 1 yr. supervisory
Experience . Work Shift: Variable Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40
