Job Description:
Great Wolf Lodge, a leader in family-friendly resorts with a
focus on fun and unique experiences, is seeking a dynamic and
passionate Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Our
indoor water park resorts are renowned for providing top-notch
entertainment and leisure activities in a family-oriented
environment. As an Executive Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal
role in delivering culinary delights that enhance our guest's
experience while staying true to our brand values of fun, family,
and fantastic service. Assist the Executive Chef in managing the
kitchen's daily operations. Supervise and coordinate activities of
the kitchen staff in meal preparation, ensuring compliance with the
highest culinary standards. Plan and create new dishes and menus,
keeping in line with Great Wolf Lodge's theme and guest
expectations. Ensure kitchen sanitation and safety standards are
met, maintaining all food safety records. Manage inventory and
resources, including ordering and maintaining food supplies within
budgetary guidelines. Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing
coaching and professional development opportunities. Resolve any
issues related to food quality or service in a timely and effective
manner. Collaborate closely with other department managers to
ensure a seamless guest experience. Proven skill in menu planning
and experience with budget management. Strong leadership and people
management skills. Excellent communication and organizational
skills. Deep knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic
environment. Creative culinary abilities with the capacity to
create engaging, themed menus. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the
American Culinary Federation (ACF) is highly desirable. Food Safety
Certification (such as ServSafe) is required.
