As a Lease Driver, you will handle critical deliveries, ensuring freight is transported safely while maximizing efficiency and service levels. This role requires professional driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a deep commitment to safety protocols. Safely transport goods across various states using flatbed, specialized, heavy haul, and van units. Manage routes and schedules effectively, ensuring timely delivery of freight. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving, retain fuel/toll receipts. Report defects, accidents, or violations. Proven work experience as a truck driver. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.). Load securing and load management skills. Basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance skills.
