  What we will provide you as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver:

  • $13.50 - $16.50/Hour (depending on experience, longevity and behavior)
    
  • Weekend add-on rate (applies to certain shifts and conditions)
    
  • No mandatory overtime! However, overtime is available!

    As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver you will:
    
    • 
      
    • Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
      
    • Help with daily activities including personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation
      
    • Work closely with a team of people including your co-workers, consumer family members, and medical professionals to help your consumers to live as independent as possible
      
    • Transport clients as needed to appointments and other activities
      
    • Accompany clients to medical and other appointments to ensure their needs are met by the physician or provider
      
      Requirements:
      
      • 
        
      • High school diploma or GED preferred. **DODD will temporarily waive the requirement that DSPs must have a high school diploma or GED. This waiver will be effective from September 17, 2021, through September 30, 2022. Employees without a high school diploma or GED cannot be certified to administer medications
        
      • Must be at least 18 years of age
        
      • Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and written
        
      • A personal vehicle that is well maintained
        
      • Must successfully complete a criminal background check
        
        Preferred Experience:
        
        • 
          
        • One year working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
          
        • Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver / Home Health Aide / Home Health Care / Personal Care experience is a plus
          
          Licenses/Certifications:
          
          • 
            
          • CPR/First Aid - Provided if you are not currently certified
            
          • Medication Administration - Provided if you are not currently certified
            
          • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 5 points on your driving record
            
          • DODD 8 Hour Provider Training
            
          • Proof of personal auto insurance
