Job Description:

Focus on tax consulting projects related to R&D tax credits and other credits and incentives for clients Maintain a current understanding of relevant codes, regulations and administrative pronouncements on a wide range of tax incentives that impact our clients Build relationships with clients, focus on understanding their needs, delivering on agreed upon projects and working through difficult issues without compromising the relationship Work as an integrated member of the tax services team Assist clients to ensure proper documents of tax credit qualification in accordance with IRS regulations Establish a formal practice development plan Participate in networking and business development activities including the formal proposal process Research specific technical issues Build relationships with partners and staff, and participate in staff development activities The qualifications. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, law degree or Master’s degree in Taxation preferred CPA or Bar license required 5-10 years of experience working within a taxation environment, preferably in public accounting Position may be filled as an In-Charge or Manager depending on the level of applicable experience Qualified individuals must either reside in or near the Chicago, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Southfield, Cincinnati, or Columbus areas or be willing to relocate to one of these areas for this opportunity; limited travel is required with this position. This position may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.
