We have a terrific career opportunity for an Electrical Engineer, who can effectively provide engineering and technical support to the manufacturing operations, identify and execute process improvement and cost reduction initiatives, and handle the selection, design, and installation of capital projects. Reporting to the Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager, this position will work closely with other staff engineers and maintenance to provide engineering and technical expertise to support the manufacturing equipment, maintenance systems, and production processes. In addition, this position plays a critical role in our lean efforts as we continuously strive to improve our processes and reduce waste. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: * Safely executing capital projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met or exceeded. This may vary from owning portions of a large project to sole ownership of a project. * Serves as a technical resource and leader to the maintenance department to assist in troubleshooting plant electrical systems and training on PLC's, VFD's, HMI's, etc. * Investigating manufacturing problems in the plant and recommending corrective actions. This includes consulting with production personnel, analyzing the supporting data, recommending corrective actions, and following through on recommendations to evaluate their effectiveness. * Developing detailed design, specifications and budgetary capital estimates for plant projects and improvements including functional design specification, acceptance testing and commissioning activities. * Software programming and hardware upgrades to all site control systems including instrumentation, drives, PLC, and HMI systems to replace obsolete equipment, improve performance and drive down total cost of ownership. * Manage all site licensing for Rockwell and Wonderware products. * Participating in Lean efforts, such as kaizen events, where an emphasis is placed on creativity before capital investment. * Identifying and executing improvements in the plant's maintenance and engineering systems and procedures. * Serving as the plant contact for ABPT project teams impacting the facility. Responsible for representing the needs of the plant to ABPT project teams and communicating critical issues needing resolution back to the Plant. * Transferring of technical knowledge where appropriate to other plant personnel to elevate organization understanding and performance. Required Qualifications and Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field. * Minimum of 5-10 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. * Demonstrated project management skills. * Industrial process control experience, including: * PLC (Allen-Bradley platform experience required) * HMI (Wonderware & PanelView) * Variable Frequency Drives * Instrumentation & Controls * Industrial networking and data management experience. * 480 VAC power distribution. * Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation). * Willingness to work in a team environmentSDL2017
