New Story Schools in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on each student's specific needs. Assess student abilities and monitor progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as needed. Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's education. Organize and maintain a classroom environment that fosters learning and is sensitive to each child’s educational and emotional needs. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay informed about the latest in special education strategies and resources. Proven ability to create and execute individualized education plans (IEPs). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Deep understanding of various teaching methods for special education and the ability to implement them effectively. Patience, resilience, and dedication to providing a supportive learning environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k State certification in Special Education is required. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
